Who We Are: What We Do

Since its founding in 1986, the Commission's programs and advocacy efforts have evolved, yet its mission remains steadfast: to support and champion arts and culture in our community.

Today, the Commission proudly hosts and organizes numerous art exhibitions, special events, and advocacy initiatives. It also serves as a Partner agency for the Michigan Arts and Culture Council. The Commission relies entirely on funding from the community, foundations, the Michigan Arts and Culture Council, and proceeds from special events to sustain its diverse programs and services.

The Commission takes great pride in its significant contributions to enhancing the quality of life in Saginaw and the Great Lakes Bay Region, fostering a vibrant and inclusive arts community that reflects the diversity of the people it serves.
